All Romano furniture is handmade in our factory in Montreal.
Romano furniture is made to order, but it is not custom or made to measure. Made to order means that each piece is only produced from a list of standard options once we receive your order. We have designed many frame choices and options to suit all kinds of needs and tastes, but unfortunately you cannot modify the sizes of our frames.
Romano products are exclusively distributed through finer furniture boutiques across North America. Please refer to our Retailers page to be directed to a retailer near you.
To fully appreciate the comfort and understand all the options available in personalizing your furniture to suit your taste, we have decided to exclusively sell through finer furniture boutiques where the sales staff are trained to help in selecting and configuring just the right product for you. This approach naturally limits our ability to sell online.
It usually takes 6-8 weeks from the time you order your Romano until the delivery. However lead times vary depending on the model, availability of the selected fabric, if it is available in a quick ship program and if it is a busy time of year for us. Please see your local retailer regarding current lead times on specific models.
It is possible to supply your own fabric, this is called a COM order (customer’s own material). Before purchasing any fabric, please be aware that there are minimum fabric requirements that must be met and approved by us in order to accept COM fabrics. Please consult with a local retailler should you want to pursue this option.
It is possible to interchange the legs on our furniture depending on the model. Many of our models come with a wood and metal leg option. The product pages list the standard leg options. There may be a surcharge for non-standard legs and certain models' design do not allow for substituting legs.
Unfortunately we do not offer leather, we are specialized in making contemporary fabric upholstery. For productivity reasons, we do not offer the option to have contrasting stitching or two tone fabrics.
Generally upholstery should be spot cleaned according to the fabric's cleaning code. We do not recommend machine washing casings. Please see the Maintenance page for questions regarding cleaning and care of your sofa.
Our foam, fabric, wood and feathers, springs and other hardware are all locally sourced, please see our Environment page for more information regarding the components used in making a Romano.
Please visit the product page of the model you are searching for, and click the “configurations” tab to see all the available pieces in a collection and their respective dimensions.
We use the highest grade of foam for residential or light contract furniture. It has never been Romano’s practice to employ foam containing flame retardant chemicals (FR foam) in any of our upholstered furniture. Please refer to the Environment page for more information.
